Curve in the Road at Locke

Last week saw a beautiful, warm, spring day in which my Jade Fon Plein Air group met up in the historic town of Locke, California. This little gem of a town is located along the Sacramento River Delta right off State Route 160 and offers many inspirational views with its quirky architecture and scenic surroundings. I chose this scene not just due to its charm, but also because it was off the main street (Locke is small but its one main street gets a lot of visitors on the weekend), plus there was shade for the most part of the day. Loved the old shed and the twist and turn of the tree limbs!
